Issues
Quality Jobs for Fort Collins.
To keep Fort Collins strong, we need to retain, create, and attract quality jobs. For those who are not yet retired, “Quality of Life” in our community starts with a good job. For those who are retired and for our children, good jobs are the engine that generates taxes to pay for the services provided by the City government.
Responsive and Responsible Government.
We need City Council to set priorities that reflect the needs of our citizens. Then, action is required. As an intensive care nurse, I cannot wait for a problem to turn into a crisis. Appropriate assessment must be done, but than action is needed. The citizens have real needs and discussions about chickens and logos are not addressing those needs.
A Healthier and Safer Community.
The recent report of increasing crime in Fort Collins is just one indication that action is needed. We need to prioritize police and fire protection. We need to improve our roads to enhance safety and reduce congestion. And we need to invest in our infrastructure to prepare for our future.
